Where I’ll Be This Summer (And...

I’m writing a book this summer, so things will be a little different here on the blog. Here’s what you can expect over the next few months…

For the past two summers, I’ve pressed pause on publishing new blog content. This year is no different… kind of.

While I won’t be sharing new tutorials or room reveals over the next few months, I’m definitely not lounging in a hammock all day, although I hope to squeeze that in too! Behind the scenes, I’ll be working on something BIG…

I’m Writing a Book!

If you missed the announcement, I’m writing my very first book—Your Home Playbook! It’s a practical, month-by-month guide to maintaining your home, and it’s full of the checklists, tutorials, and encouragement you’ve come to expect here on the blog. I share all the backstory on how this dream project came to be right here.

We’re shooting the photos for the book this summer (My photographer, Bridget, and I are on a mission!), and I’ll be writing, editing, and making this dream come to life before my November deadline. It’s a wild ride, but I couldn’t be more thrilled.

While summer is all about the book, I already know what my first big project will be when I return to the blog in the fall: a mudroom build in our living room! It’s something I’ve been dreaming about and sketching in my head, and I can’t wait to bring it to life. So don’t worry—there’s plenty of DIY goodness coming your way soon.

I may be quiet here on the blog, but I’m still showing up in a few places:

  • Follow me on Instagram Stories for behind-the-scenes peeks of the book writing and photo shoots. I’ll be sharing snippets throughout the summer!
  • Subscribe to my Substack for weekly posts. I’ll be popping into inboxes with updates, reflections, and personal stories every week. It’s become such a fun space to connect outside of DIY, and I’d love to see you there.

Thanks for being here, for always cheering me on, and for sticking around while I tackle this new chapter – literally. I’ll see you back here in the fall with fresh projects and a whole lot of updates.

Until then, have the best summer!
